Aston Villa Football Club has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, some of my earliest memories involve a small Aston Villa football. I still remember and have my first shirt, I even remember my first matches at Villa Park.

There is something completely intoxicating about being in the stands or at home in front of the TV and being overwhelmed with emotion when the boys get that ball in the net.

Nothing unites people quite like football and I strongly believe the Claret and Blue Army are simply some of the best football fans in the world, let’s face it our loyalty is unmatched given what the boys put us through sometimes!

The VTID Project aims to shine a light on the Villa fans, show the world what we are about as a collective, the good, bad, ugly and all in between. We are an inclusive bunch and Villa Park is our united home.

So, I want to hear from everyone, all Villa fans, I want to hear your best stories, best memories, hear about your favourite players, goals and moments.

Most importantly I want to hear from the people what Aston Villa FC. means to you!

What’s The Plan and Process?

The plan is simple, I am going to meet with as many Villa fans as I can, gather as many amazing stories as I can and collect them all together in one complete photography book. Consider the end result a photography documentary.

The process is also simple, I need you to get in touch, we will meet and talk all things Claret and Blue.

During the process I will snap some informal pictures and your Aston Villa story will be immortalized as part of the VTID Project.

Do you have a signed shirt that is your pride and joy? Have a story about meeting your favourite player? Has the Aston Villa Foundation impacted your life? Did you break your heart when our Jack left? Who remembers the infamous Dublin headbutt?

This is all the stuff I want to know!

If you or someone you know is a Villa fan that might want to be part of the project then get in touch via the contact page.

Further VTID Project Plans

Despite being in the early stages the VTID Project has several things in the works to excite Villa Fans.

With an aim to capture all things AVFC, the Project will be looking to book a stadium tour for deserving fans that haven’t experienced it yet.

I will be there to capture the magic of those getting up close and personal behind the scenes for the first time.

Keep an eye out for timings and updates on this.

Involvement from previous and current players.

A celebratory exhibition when the the book is complete!
